Luxury shoppers take note: Brisbane has just added another name to its stable of premium designer boutiques, with the opening of the new Salvatore Ferragamo boutique at Queens Plaza, making it the Italian label's 12th Australian store.

On hand to celebrate the VIP launch this week were television presenter Jesinta Campbell and star chef Matt Moran (dapper in head-to-toe Ferragamo). Moran's catering company, ARIA Catering, also provided delectable canapés–think crab and avocado finger sandwiches, pumpkin and feta tortellini with brown butter, and king prawns with saffron mayonnaise.

To coincide with the boutique opening, the fashion house has released the special edition Sofia bag– a stunning, opal-hued bag featuring a metal plate engraved with the store name and year of opening. Only 25 were made – so get in quick!
